What Black Book holds

Professional and business information only: company records, capabilities, factories and products; people’s names, job titles and employers as published in public filings and open datasets; and business contact points (switchboards, general inboxes, professional addresses) with their source and date.

What we never collect

Government ID numbers, financial account data, passwords or credentials, medical information, precise private locations, or other sensitive personal information. We do not guess personal email addresses from naming conventions; any inferred value is labelled unverified.

How removal works

A request to remove a person hides the record immediately and deletes their contact points. We keep only a one-way fingerprint (a hash) of the name and employer so the record is not re-imported, plus the request itself as the compliance record. Company records are reviewed, since they are business information.

AI processing

Searches and records are processed by OpenAI through the API to interpret queries and explain results. Only the minimum data needed is sent. OpenAI states API data is not used to train models by default, and abuse-monitoring logs may be retained for up to 30 days.
